Mobidique is an albino sperm whale who dives across the world in the company of whales from many different species, all survivors of countless threats: marine debris, noise pollution, and industrial whaling.
One day, however, her pod encounters Captain Ahab, a whaler. Mobidique fights with all her strength to save her calf, leaving Ahab gravely wounded in the confrontation. But it is too late. Her beloved baby is dead.
As Ahab begins hunting her down, seeking revenge for what happened and for the enormous scar left across his face, Mobidique travels the world in search of an army willing to put an end to whaling.
Together, they rehearse spectacular leaps and learn how to use their immense weight to create waves so powerful they can sink any ship.
